10 Dec 08 The advantages and disvantages of Lightbox made from acrylics

Now, there are some lightboxes whose panel are made from acrylics,normally is transparent.

Acrylics is one new materails used in signages making.It is light,good transparence,easy cutting,cheaper,easy printing.

So if we use it make lightbox with led , then the lightbox would be crystal looking,light;its sizes and shapes could be easily designed and achived; its price is also some chaper.

Many persons like use this type of  lightbox in advertising and exhibition.

But we should pay much attentions upon two points

1.  the acrylics’ qualities. some manufacturer want to reduce the cost of making, will adopt some cheapest acrylics,which are made from small factories and have no good quality;then the acrylics would be  more fragile, chaning color(become yellow or other color) slowly because of long time Light’s irradiation,especially in the sun..

2.  because of acrylics’   physical characteristics, it is difficult to promise the hermetic structure,so the waterproof of lightbox is difficult to achive,so can not be used outdoor.
